Step 1: Freeze

The system cools the heat exchanger down to -15°C, forming a thin layer of ice from the moisture in the air. As ice forms, it traps dust particles, bacteria, and mold from the heat exchanger and holds them.

Step 2: Melt

Once the necessary ice layer is formed, the system quickly melts it, washing away the trapped dust particles, mold, and bacteria. The inside of the air conditioner is then dried. A clean heat exchanger ensures not only the proper functioning of the unit but also clean and fresh air.
