Freeze - first step. The system cools the heat exchanger to -15°C, forming a thin layer of ice from the moisture in the air. As the ice forms, it traps dust particles, mold, and bacteria from the heat exchanger.

Melt - second step. Once the necessary layer of ice is formed, the system quickly melts it, washing away the trapped dust particles, mold, and bacteria. Finally, it thoroughly dries the inside of the air conditioner. A clean heat exchanger maintains good performance of the appliance and ensures that the air at home is clean and fresh.
