Step 1 - Freeze. The system cools the heat exchanger to -15°C, forming a thin layer of ice from the moisture in the air. As ice forms, it traps dust particles, mold, and bacteria from the heat exchanger and holds them.

Step 2 - Melt. Once the necessary layer of ice has formed, the system quickly melts it, washing away the trapped dust particles, mold, and bacteria. Finally, it thoroughly dries the inside of the air conditioner. A clean heat exchanger not only maintains the good operation of the appliance but also ensures that the air at home is clean and fresh.
